This is the review for OCC (OOO Combo Change) Kamen Rider Birth<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
The OCC toyline is the main gimmick line of Kamen Rider OOO. Similar lines are the Fianl Form Ride line from Kamen Rider Decade, and the W Change series from Kamen Rider W.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm5CmLMEul6SjTiKbDTBZ6_blkkOjqXRTdaWki2H2vqiCQzznQ6g-OfF8Alle_0DLKZpuzoQmwAIFhON4BHBZTVCDAEVKQ2rnjqnjFOG9p2zwXLvXYDWdKTwr71IJM5ipeFwtlqURlW-c/s1600/SAM_2781.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm5CmLMEul6SjTiKbDTBZ6_blkkOjqXRTdaWki2H2vqiCQzznQ6g-OfF8Alle_0DLKZpuzoQmwAIFhON4BHBZTVCDAEVKQ2rnjqnjFOG9p2zwXLvXYDWdKTwr71IJM5ipeFwtlqURlW-c/s400/SAM_2781.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
As you can see, Birth comes with his C.L.A.W.S. System, his main gimmick. That scorpion can disassemble and form weapons and armor for Birth. But that's for later. Lets look at the figure itself first:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBK96dlP1b4DaLILILaIB7LlO2OH5wFhGtoTVQ4ufLXHc4G5wRFeBmHIZ9i0QAKAdy91YERLgu2LtmIgGSlAQ2jKarRI899ltNMBbpldHMTKjhRTenE-jx-cBjb7hgMt4HPuh_3TGriAs/s1600/SAM_2783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBK96dlP1b4DaLILILaIB7LlO2OH5wFhGtoTVQ4ufLXHc4G5wRFeBmHIZ9i0QAKAdy91YERLgu2LtmIgGSlAQ2jKarRI899ltNMBbpldHMTKjhRTenE-jx-cBjb7hgMt4HPuh_3TGriAs/s400/SAM_2783.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> <br />

The figure is roughly 6" tall. It is primarily aimed at kids for playability so it doesn't have as much detail as other lines such as SH Figuarts.<br />
Most of the toy is unpainted plastic due to the simplicity of Birth's design, giving it kind of a "toy-like" look to it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig2sMlSGLLTjnjUIoXM812l8TueNg0FQywt9f4WYB7rgOz44G0_M_C5S0NrUb9UUVLC9HQeOdGhhOqCz1Q31dTim7PqYodqoZx5ytR287rwSoQWbXzt1IjlJdho6QQLUknzBnHMeRY7zo/s1600/SAM_2789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig2sMlSGLLTjnjUIoXM812l8TueNg0FQywt9f4WYB7rgOz44G0_M_C5S0NrUb9UUVLC9HQeOdGhhOqCz1Q31dTim7PqYodqoZx5ytR287rwSoQWbXzt1IjlJdho6QQLUknzBnHMeRY7zo/s400/SAM_2789.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Birth's belt is unpainted other than the knob.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXe0NL-A5EXUuR0cNbLreZWXInMDIG2EuPL85hAIbukOTHbs85ltOpoyx8l326G_u5wbPZz-tMJxoiWdX-wGcQ_QT8wbt8tSHG4KSy3dPtuoq9pMAeG4uo9Xh-y8mCSkER_6dzc9ZF4Lc/s1600/SAM_2790.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXe0NL-A5EXUuR0cNbLreZWXInMDIG2EuPL85hAIbukOTHbs85ltOpoyx8l326G_u5wbPZz-tMJxoiWdX-wGcQ_QT8wbt8tSHG4KSy3dPtuoq9pMAeG4uo9Xh-y8mCSkER_6dzc9ZF4Lc/s400/SAM_2790.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I don't know what it is but his head seems like its missing something. I feel it looks very plain. Its actually not missing much details but I think its the unpainted plastic that gives it a cheap look.<br />
<br />
<br />
Now onto the articulation:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZOqg-L3xmT6xU8_G_BN3MwEI-umNL9_twHDF1YcKYWB4PsczlFGnsSS3_ODqHoQBpjoP7Uk578pknWgdL3CJxdz165hOEMiCBEfAgIkoTGU_JSVbjOQ0UuPrmOnbojspeUNKYHebsnW0/s1600/SAM_2788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZOqg-L3xmT6xU8_G_BN3MwEI-umNL9_twHDF1YcKYWB4PsczlFGnsSS3_ODqHoQBpjoP7Uk578pknWgdL3CJxdz165hOEMiCBEfAgIkoTGU_JSVbjOQ0UuPrmOnbojspeUNKYHebsnW0/s400/SAM_2788.JPG" width="400" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9rmKJbpYMQOGgQ0_C379K2kE6u3Q8rhv6dVt5upOLk8O83H3Z7MseAtGB7see9qF56-3BBONlaZw4_OhjE_K-dOIegqtmnvM9UmHO3M_0H5FXFQ9VdhYEfBjQKZtSR8u8rcRf-1ipWwU/s1600/SAM_2787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9rmKJbpYMQOGgQ0_C379K2kE6u3Q8rhv6dVt5upOLk8O83H3Z7MseAtGB7see9qF56-3BBONlaZw4_OhjE_K-dOIegqtmnvM9UmHO3M_0H5FXFQ9VdhYEfBjQKZtSR8u8rcRf-1ipWwU/s400/SAM_2787.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>Birth has:<br />
<ul><li>Ball-jointed head</li>
<li>Shoulder joints</li>
<li>Bicep swivel</li>
<li>elbow joints</li>
<li>wrist swivel</li>
<li>Finger joints; pinky and ring finger and index and middle finger as seperate joints</li>
<li>Ball jointed thighs</li>
<li>Knee swivel</li>
<li>Knee joint</li>
<li>Ball jointed ankles</li>
</ul>My main criticism about Birth's articulation is the lack of any sort of waist joint. The reason there isn't one is because the OOO OCC figures split apart into three pieces, disallowing a waist joint. Birth, however, is one piece and should very have a waist joint. This is a major flaw in the figure. Another one is the finger articulation. The way that it is cut makes fists look awkward and holding his weapons look weird.<br />
Speaking of weapons, Birth also comes with his Birth Buster in two forms:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMzpXNzXzFSnDTsISLNv7SxUB2D5217oGdTh0xcMj4-eae_SpE_MwoQEHg0KGqBpbhyoWJ6pJ_Gb_am5d03wugzm1R8rggMcRyGSlZDIVu92-bjp1pDzcAaipy56WKIFGmWbxGfEEbi84/s1600/SAM_2792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMzpXNzXzFSnDTsISLNv7SxUB2D5217oGdTh0xcMj4-eae_SpE_MwoQEHg0KGqBpbhyoWJ6pJ_Gb_am5d03wugzm1R8rggMcRyGSlZDIVu92-bjp1pDzcAaipy56WKIFGmWbxGfEEbi84/s400/SAM_2792.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

The one problem I have with this is that the crane hinders the articulation a bit because of the joint. The joint is there for the scorpion mode, but it disables the elbow swivel. As a side note, the show has the crane in two pieces and the shoulder piece being about half the size.<br />
<br />

However, on our last day before graduation, our teacher gave us a final assignment:<br />
<a name='more'></a>Get our FIRST robot to deliver him a can of beer for an A. Now, since the FIRST competition, we couldn't get the wireless controls to work, so it seemed like a challenge. Fortunately, we had the beer covered (don't ask) but were confused on how to get the wireless to work. Just by chance, one of my friends was messing with his wireless router (which is how we controlled the robot) so he could play on Xbox Live easier. This resulted in him figuring out what was wrong. Our happiness could not have been greater as we slowly clamped on the beer can, drove to my teacher, and handed him the can for the most satisfying A I have ever earned.JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-44872969369096374522011-05-24T19:05:00.000-07:002011-05-24T19:13:50.701-07:00Why Robotics is Fun: Part 4Welcome back, sorry for the wait. Onto the next story in my robotics class; detailing our adventures at our regional FIRST Robotics competition.<br />
<a name='more'></a>We went to Oahu again, but this time we were without my college friend. So getting drinks were an issue. We ended up getting it from one of my teammate's friends, who eventually came up to our hotel room. Creating a ruckus with some Sky, the hotel security decided to pay us a little visit. After that harrowing encounter, we decided to go cruising outside. Our plan was to walk to Waikiki, but seeing that our hotel, the Ala Moana, was miles away, we had our work cut out.<br />
<br />
Let me tell you, walking along the Ala Wai canal at midnight while trying to eat a double-quarter pounder is pretty hard. However, I prevailed and followed my drunk friends as they proceeded to fall on their ass; get tricked to race up long flights of stairs; and skinny dip at Waikiki beach. Did I mention we were with a very pretty lady that also skinny dipped? Yeah, there was that too. Shit was pretty cash.<br />
<br />
The next night, we had to wait till 11:00 for our teacher to do a bed check then leave to go cruising. However, we were sitting around at 9:00 thinking, WTF, lets just tell him and leave. So we go next door, knock on the door and witness our robotics teacher shit faced. We laugh it off and tell him we will back at 2. He acknowledges this and goes back to playing cards with one of our other chaperones. This night wasn't as interesting as it was just a fat cruise session; getting chased off the beach by a cop car; and returing at exactly 2:00, just as we told our teacher.<br />
<br />
Thus ends my stories about my high school robotics team. I still have one more supplemental planned out, so stay tuned for more!JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-61558379682207662112011-05-14T01:41:00.000-07:002011-05-14T01:43:11.945-07:00SH Figuarts Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa Review<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Before I continue my Robotics stories, I want to post a review of a toy that I got recently. It is Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa Form. The reason I wanted to do this was just out of personal interest, so its not like its for some kind of project or anything. Hit the jump for more!<br />

First of all, SH Figuarts are a line of super articulated toys made by Bandai. The line started in 2008 with its first release being Kamen Rider 1 from Kamen Rider The First.<br />
<br />
The toy I am reviewing is Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa form.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik-EST4z6gUA5vrDK-TtXjjhtJRhaBa_Oom2gNS9Tca4Q2thNJdx9serV_HExiHpWjQ3_KWZMtsR025gSjQxToXQXJGFtCurvqCCBqFVajhSzl21XXzzhNQMIkI1GZ0wtwKb8-HiQaA-E/s1600/SAM_2509.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik-EST4z6gUA5vrDK-TtXjjhtJRhaBa_Oom2gNS9Tca4Q2thNJdx9serV_HExiHpWjQ3_KWZMtsR025gSjQxToXQXJGFtCurvqCCBqFVajhSzl21XXzzhNQMIkI1GZ0wtwKb8-HiQaA-E/s400/SAM_2509.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
First off is the box. As you can see, it has a nice design to it. It really stands out against older normal release Figuarts that had plain silver boxes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi98AVTkMqCaZRGrQgqEUzJB1gfcMGatOXWD6mq5w-p2yzBlhscFMwtbtMs3eqbCUDoVs4pe3opUzXRpiv0_1tkRCnFNHQbdzgyYdc29Xs9U60zJQrs4fVhAU1ze-kfhxY_v6PAgxQcv1k/s1600/SAM_2507.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi98AVTkMqCaZRGrQgqEUzJB1gfcMGatOXWD6mq5w-p2yzBlhscFMwtbtMs3eqbCUDoVs4pe3opUzXRpiv0_1tkRCnFNHQbdzgyYdc29Xs9U60zJQrs4fVhAU1ze-kfhxY_v6PAgxQcv1k/s400/SAM_2507.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Here is a comparison between TaToBa's box and an older box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicMA7DVx2ymWJCbQxo72Oz1i3CboURf1CwvwAR3J9jfLJhrEsP7kP3on5-IMsIhV-txTF4krnN64VKk2r9iFnDkCZTUVN0aE4aYvDw-H8a-jjsI8BFm5ZzHQDkzN0reWPpYXveZBYTsZA/s1600/SAM_2510.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicMA7DVx2ymWJCbQxo72Oz1i3CboURf1CwvwAR3J9jfLJhrEsP7kP3on5-IMsIhV-txTF4krnN64VKk2r9iFnDkCZTUVN0aE4aYvDw-H8a-jjsI8BFm5ZzHQDkzN0reWPpYXveZBYTsZA/s400/SAM_2510.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Now a side view.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Rdo-sniracviXB6eTylRFLx7Ebj9IkfK-Lj8Abj9DTEQLQAFuYjUMYftkc0TNzqQnEWh8pQCfTrHvGUA443-vSVa7rs9eFIxgnEkn7DBh4URRyQ366ivGl5QqannBnpE4CwCBZVCpEA/s1600/SAM_2511.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Rdo-sniracviXB6eTylRFLx7Ebj9IkfK-Lj8Abj9DTEQLQAFuYjUMYftkc0TNzqQnEWh8pQCfTrHvGUA443-vSVa7rs9eFIxgnEkn7DBh4URRyQ366ivGl5QqannBnpE4CwCBZVCpEA/s400/SAM_2511.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And then the back of the box. Now onto the figure itself:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQvcdX3HrO-z_OajH5KKsplVdTPguaEYEeepNU5cT0qRHqOfPshc8R7GiDm5ZuP7TI8m0anTv666m7uQdVudzARzhe2vTtjn-BKI2IsqD356Ju5AGfGpAkrLUCqIb5990STbZI3yAyGWc/s1600/SAM_2512.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQvcdX3HrO-z_OajH5KKsplVdTPguaEYEeepNU5cT0qRHqOfPshc8R7GiDm5ZuP7TI8m0anTv666m7uQdVudzARzhe2vTtjn-BKI2IsqD356Ju5AGfGpAkrLUCqIb5990STbZI3yAyGWc/s640/SAM_2512.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
So the main gimmick of Kamen Rider OOO is his ability to change three parts of his body, the legs, torso and head. This is his base form, TaToBa, short for Taka, Tora, Batta, or hawk, tiger, grasshopper. Being from Hawaii I like the color choice as it is the same as the rasta colors.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq32xcGvAYZIV7jExWYzNQygmU30U_wCrRcnLuV8pFcNYQxE9q_FnIMKvUT9CkxIlY1lEPVJ_t-170Pl2wzEgdXbdnnBbltN5xTfquQ6zYe21TJA9Byq-fylPuEdXhb4Z-fqCct-6e50M/s1600/SAM_2513.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq32xcGvAYZIV7jExWYzNQygmU30U_wCrRcnLuV8pFcNYQxE9q_FnIMKvUT9CkxIlY1lEPVJ_t-170Pl2wzEgdXbdnnBbltN5xTfquQ6zYe21TJA9Byq-fylPuEdXhb4Z-fqCct-6e50M/s640/SAM_2513.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is a back view. Its not as visually appealing as he only has a giant molded button here, but that's another story.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-CCtw6dhXsWlSkW_7dq2ktwr7Du26ltqu82Dkv0qNemo69xCbLBx8V-J8ycksGKBIpBzZ9ssA7S2zgulnP_TOdtVDTBZlVMFVS5Cwkk9tjRID_9UKKG2J2rJP8HHRPiGeb69QgNZL4o/s1600/SAM_2514.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-CCtw6dhXsWlSkW_7dq2ktwr7Du26ltqu82Dkv0qNemo69xCbLBx8V-J8ycksGKBIpBzZ9ssA7S2zgulnP_TOdtVDTBZlVMFVS5Cwkk9tjRID_9UKKG2J2rJP8HHRPiGeb69QgNZL4o/s400/SAM_2514.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Now onto the accessories. TaToBa comes a plethora of accessories including: a pair of fists, a pair of splayed hands, a pair of hands to hold his weapon, a slightly more open right hand to hold the Os Scanner, two sets of claws; one that is flipped out and one that is retracted, the Medajalibur, and removable Os Driver and Scanner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-jegvfBXr938wpZ6Amtt977rJfu4bEnF7qURUY3Ivfqiqeo56nqNWXZu56lY7DiGeTXHQZRJ7w7bK2jYObxFCOGKL9cmPcvaZ1uwCplXE0q-EWeepFZXkPWhF_sI7tLd78g5f1lc7Ifs/s1600/SAM_2515.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-jegvfBXr938wpZ6Amtt977rJfu4bEnF7qURUY3Ivfqiqeo56nqNWXZu56lY7DiGeTXHQZRJ7w7bK2jYObxFCOGKL9cmPcvaZ1uwCplXE0q-EWeepFZXkPWhF_sI7tLd78g5f1lc7Ifs/s400/SAM_2515.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Unfortunately this is a little blurry, but here is a closeup of the Os Driver. There is no molded or painted details for the individual medals, but they are at least colored unlike the unpainted Gaia Memories that's in the Kamen Rider W Figuarts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0MwGgqM6QNg60sjXkzRYdbUbaHevPHDWE6LkY6nZBOwVU_639oo3itTdIQ6t3dpqPfoS1bpdattN7lcjR2Y0ClJUMfIH_W_74K_ft8kefFi1wzjjckyuTKQBnfyLDOaFY7vc868wOsiQ/s1600/SAM_2516.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0MwGgqM6QNg60sjXkzRYdbUbaHevPHDWE6LkY6nZBOwVU_639oo3itTdIQ6t3dpqPfoS1bpdattN7lcjR2Y0ClJUMfIH_W_74K_ft8kefFi1wzjjckyuTKQBnfyLDOaFY7vc868wOsiQ/s400/SAM_2516.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is another blurry shot of something. This is the Os Scanner which is used for transformation, changing forms, and final attacks. As I said before, it is removable and holdable. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuxCfSgC6gDr8XaGTJ2SKNxgisZZPrH6okYhh3nmj0g_glnnRWukNTfi0HSkDuPuOA8-ra-1YQFWWuEgipj_MKdwXzSH7B-VrL3K650COM1VEj5B-U4p0UoeSyjkHIt1zOaYNHxAzq9VY/s1600/SAM_2517.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuxCfSgC6gDr8XaGTJ2SKNxgisZZPrH6okYhh3nmj0g_glnnRWukNTfi0HSkDuPuOA8-ra-1YQFWWuEgipj_MKdwXzSH7B-VrL3K650COM1VEj5B-U4p0UoeSyjkHIt1zOaYNHxAzq9VY/s400/SAM_2517.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is a closeup of the head. It showcases the unique compound eyes that Kamen Riders have. It might be hard to see, but there is some paint QC issues under the left eye. That sucks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGFt-lg-jjdwuCbSdFfD93ll2MgHI9KiGHpKfL6dJG3I3ChVsNQ8QvdgDTiG7RHKh5OUUEZUemvt6iVEUjzFz_N9UTkiw_dWA9LgtFMUIR6r_EVXwz0rofztVkthOcUgqYSBwTDyMzbpo/s1600/SAM_2521.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGFt-lg-jjdwuCbSdFfD93ll2MgHI9KiGHpKfL6dJG3I3ChVsNQ8QvdgDTiG7RHKh5OUUEZUemvt6iVEUjzFz_N9UTkiw_dWA9LgtFMUIR6r_EVXwz0rofztVkthOcUgqYSBwTDyMzbpo/s400/SAM_2521.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is a picture to show off some of the poseabillity. Another complaint that I have that a lot of people that have the OOO Figuarts have is the replacement of the rocker ankles to ball jointed ones. This replacement causes TaToBa to have restricted movement in his ankles due to the sculpt. Fortunately there are some mods to help with this, just follow this link <a href="http://kenjitron.wordpress.com/2011/02/19/s-h-figuarts-kamen-rider-ooo-tatoba-mods/">right here</a><br />
<br />

Here is some pictures showing off him holding the Scanner and sword. When he is holding an item, its pretty loose in his hand, so it makes some poses difficult.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrOCTkuzhyl3BrssMnXWCROsTuNgHz7Z1PSfzxdIE_Gm4WiP6CPQrEygLajz3yR_kG_iWnGQTI_BOE7x0TTFVnvDvXNyL2tAm9negJmD0zpR44ctenkIGSt4GBA3i9445wQxvDzJL-TgM/s1600/SAM_2519.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrOCTkuzhyl3BrssMnXWCROsTuNgHz7Z1PSfzxdIE_Gm4WiP6CPQrEygLajz3yR_kG_iWnGQTI_BOE7x0TTFVnvDvXNyL2tAm9negJmD0zpR44ctenkIGSt4GBA3i9445wQxvDzJL-TgM/s400/SAM_2519.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Although I like the poseabillty of my Decade Complete more, I think TaToBa is a suitable figure. The only real problem is the lack of die cast. It makes TaToBa feel REALLY cheap. I also don't like the hip articulation compared to Decade's. Other than that, I find him enjoyable.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
In a nutshell:<br />
<ul>
<li>Nice details</li>
<li>A lot of accessories<span style="background-color: #f3f3f3;"><span style="background-color: black;"></span></span></li>
<li>Horrible QC</li>
<li>Horrible ankle and hip joints</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa form a 3.5 out of 5 because of the QC issues, lack of diecast, and joint weirdness.<br />
<br />
I might do Decade next, if not more robotics stories. Stay tuned! <br />

<a name='more'></a>The second night wasn't as crazy as the first as two of our teammates had to leave earlier. We also had a flight to catch at 5 in the morning, but we did our best to have some fun. First off is the return of my college friend that saw him and one of my teammates try and succeed to buy beer from a stranger off the street. After that, we bro'd out and had a nice shotgun, and hour of sleep. We awoke to our teacher knocking on the door, getting on the floor and doing the dinosaur. After that we left for home and awaited our next adventure. Come back next time for our FIRST Robotics competition adventures.JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com23tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-13037721470743449072011-05-08T20:11:00.000-07:002011-05-09T20:40:44.429-07:00Why Robotics is Fun: Part 2When I last left off we were at my regional VEX competition. Now we go on to the state level.<br />
<a name='more'></a>Because I live in Hawaii, our school team had to travel islands to attend the state VEX competition. That means we are away from home; that means we are away from our parents. Immediately my teammates and I made plans for what we were gonna do. It was a 3-day 2-night deal so some damage was going to be done.<br />
<br />
<br />
(FYI I'm not gonna talk about the actual competition, just what we did outside of it. In short, we lost :P)<br />
The first night, we met up with one of my friends in college that lived there. Before he came, however, our robotics team explored the long strip of beach and hotels called Waikiki. I witnessed my first street show, and participated in the scientific act of observing hooker paths and schedules. I also witnessed one of my friends trying to hit on a hooker and get her back to our room.<br />

(Sorry this is just text, I have no pictures to share)<br />
<br />
When we finally met up with my friend after waiting in the cold outside our hotel, we were pleasantly surprised at what he brought; the infamous Four Loko. This was before the watering down of this "dangerous" drink, so we happily drank it; I haphazardly chugged it, and got wasted. Thus ends our first night. <a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
When I switched into my high school robotics class, I didn't think I would do anything. I thought that it would be an easy-ass class where I could hang out with my friends. Little did i know that it would be way more than that. The first of my adventures was during our regional VEX Competition. One of my friends, and teammates, was hitting on a girl. First thing she asks is if he is gay. Now, he does look kind of faggy, but we thought it was hilarious. Fast forward 5 minutes and we had to go to next match. Forgetting something at our table with the girls, I went back and witnessed my teacher hitting on the same girl my friend was. I fucking love that teacher, but that's for another day. Now our faggy friend is pretty sensitive to us making fun of him, so when one of my other friends started fucking with him, he fucking flipped out. There is also this Yemenese exchange student that we love to fuck with. With his Arabian accent, he is a joy when we try to apply "wholesome American values" on him. But that is also for another day. Our return home was silent as we were defeated in the finals by our rival school. However there was still a sliver of hope for our gay friend, although he didn't get that girl's phone number.JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com25tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-3855107401373787882011-05-05T18:24:00.000-07:002011-05-05T18:24:21.944-07:00Anything Goes! Drum Cover<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/GJvFN7MyFYA?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>Using the drum I posted earlier. I think its okay. I used Adobe Premeire to edit it. Small sync issues. I'm not too sure if it was me or my camera. Oh well.JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-11784717406005242422011-05-05T15:37:00.000-07:002011-05-05T15:37:45.550-07:00Turned into this:<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcFbUIjEA4dYeMw8eDArQbKqf1KTk2ss7xMuGCCx10Rz4GG9uR_tcZ44kNyKkXJko5TPaYn0EFZrplv3EWpIKGFG2wnyICVp3oual6a9VLQP83Gw5qtmeH-ig_ugPnw-CLa7xIMUqpImw/s1600/SAM_2432.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcFbUIjEA4dYeMw8eDArQbKqf1KTk2ss7xMuGCCx10Rz4GG9uR_tcZ44kNyKkXJko5TPaYn0EFZrplv3EWpIKGFG2wnyICVp3oual6a9VLQP83Gw5qtmeH-ig_ugPnw-CLa7xIMUqpImw/s320/SAM_2432.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-70859871370781160102011-05-04T23:21:00.000-07:002011-05-04T23:21:38.845-07:00Working on this<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghUofzuDESry7ofWgbnSezIpOKMRCpk1YWm_RWYcjWuzf9gFEsO9YBcvOt2twJc3u90sXQujngs99X2oe9pOscgkmIlOGPHTZzGpX6W8oQM1Jncjc_r1D_es1k0eVLmzJP9gH3ggzXsyc/s1600/SAM_2403.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghUofzuDESry7ofWgbnSezIpOKMRCpk1YWm_RWYcjWuzf9gFEsO9YBcvOt2twJc3u90sXQujngs99X2oe9pOscgkmIlOGPHTZzGpX6W8oQM1Jncjc_r1D_es1k0eVLmzJP9gH3ggzXsyc/s320/SAM_2403.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>JChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16708036148923325335noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473410052003453231.post-65210385981860315572011-05-04T21:36:00.001-07:002011-05-04T21:36:47.263-07:00Welcome!Hi there.
